Overview
**Spoiler Alert** Vice-Captain Soshiro reveals the final aptitude test: real-time kaiju neutralization. Kafka and the others are issued Defense Force combat suits, which amplify strength using kaiju muscle fibers. Each recruit's “unleashed combat power” is measured. Leno scores 8%. Kikoru stuns everyone with 46%. Kafka, however, scores 0%, to Soshiro's amusement. The test begins. Examinees are monitored by drones and must fight 36 Yoju and Honju kaiju. Kafka, knowing he can’t match their strength, proposes using his kaiju disposal knowledge to support the others. He successfully assists a team in defeating a Yoju. Just as the situation stabilizes, another Yoju ambushes Kafka from behind.
Plot
Opening
Soshiro briefs the recruits: the final test is a live kaiju engagement. Each candidate is issued a Defense Force suit. When they wear them, their ‘combat power’ output is revealed.
Midpoint
Leno outputs 8%. Kikoru: 46%. Haruichi, Aoi, and Iharu range from 14–18%. Kafka scores 0%. The group is shocked — Kafka is the first person ever to receive zero. Soshiro laughs it off.
Climax
The exam begins. Kaiju targets are released. Each examinee is assigned an auto-tracking drone to monitor actions and trigger protective shields if needed (which counts as failure). Kafka notices this and suspects the true test is about how they adapt, not just how many they kill.
Aftermath
Realizing he's outmatched, Kafka helps support others using his field experience. He directs the others on a Yoju’s weak points using a flashbang and teamwork. It works — until another Yoju ambushes Kafka from behind.

“"Your combat power output... zero percent." – Soshiro Hoshina”
