Overview
Tachikawa Base is the headquarters of the Third Division of the Defense Force and one of the earliest bases featured in Kaiju No. 8. Located in Nishi-Tokyo, it serves as a central site for exams and kaiju defense operations.
Tachikawa Base is used by the Third Division of the Defense Force and is jointly operated with the Japan Self-Defense Force. It is also the site of the Officer Selection Exam. Despite being a critical military site, the base was heavily damaged by kaiju activity and lost most of its training capability.
