This kaiju appears nearly identical to its sibling, Kaiju No. 14, with the primary differences being its white coloration and the presence of four smiling faces.

Plot
The Last Wave Arc
After Kaiju No. 14 was defeated by Third Division Captain Mina Ashiro, Kaiju No. 9 intercepted the Defense Force communications, both to praise the officers’ strength and to reveal its ultimate plan: to seize Mina’s power, as it had attempted during the Sagamihara attack and the Tachikawa Base raid. No. 9 then activated the abilities of the white kaiju—later identified as White No. 14—allowing it to teleport directly to the location of No. 14’s corpse to confront Mina in person.
